ACCOMMODATION LOCATION
The registration of local lodging establishments is mandatory and a necessary condition for their operation.
This registration is made by prior notification with deadline addressed to the Mayor of the municipality with territorial competence, through the Electronic One Stop Shop, which can be accessed through the websites "Portal do Cidadão" or "Balcão do Empreendedor".
This prior notification must include the following information.
-Authorization of use or title of ownership;
-Identification of the owner of the establishment;
-Address of the owner of the establishment;
-Name adopted by the establishment;
-Capacity of the establishment;
Date expected to open to the public; -Name, address and number of the establishment
-Name, address and telephone number of an emergency contact person.
The following documents must also be attached.
-Copy of the identification document or indication of the access code to the permanent certificate of the business register of the owner of the establishment; -Copy of the identification document or indication of the access code to the permanent certificate of the business register of the owner of the establishment;
-Document of responsibility signed by the owner of the establishment;
-Copy of the urban land registry;
-Copy of the lease contract;
-Copy of the declaration of commencement or alteration of activity of the owner of the establishment exploration for the exercise of the activity of rendering of services;
-Minutes of the condominium owners' meeting authorizing the installation of a hostel;
-Type of establishment in which the activity will be carried out.
If there is no opposition to the prior notice with a deadline, a document containing the registration number of the local accommodation establishment is issued by the Single Electronic Counter, which is the only valid title for opening the establishment to the public and advertising it.
Requirements for local accommodation establishments
Local accommodation establishments must comply with the following requirements:
-Maximum capacity of 9 rooms and 30 users, with the exception of "rooms" and "hostels";
-Present adequate conditions of conservation and operation of facilities and equipment;
-Be connected to the public water supply network or have a private water supply system with duly controlled origin;
-Be connected to the public sewage system or equipped with septic tanks sized for the maximum capacity of the establishment;
-Have hot and cold running water;
-The accommodation unit that constitutes the local accommodation establishment:
-O Have a window or balcony with direct communication to the outside;
-Have adequate furniture, equipment and utensils;
-Have a system to seal off outside light;
-Have doors equipped with a security system to ensure the privacy of users.
-The sanitary facilities have a security system that guarantees privacy;
-Hygiene and cleanliness;
-Have an information book on the operation of the establishment and its internal rules of use available in Portuguese and English and at least two other foreign languages;
-Comply with fire safety rules;
Take out and maintain valid multi-risk civil liability insurance;
-Display a sign that says;
-Have a complaints book.
